Finding Legal Sources
The J. Paul Leonard Library maintains a core collection of legal resources online and in print. Comprehensive research may need to be completed at a public law library. Each county has a law library open to the public; the San Francisco Law Library is located at 401 Van Ness Avenue near City Hall.
Although there is an abundance of legal sources free on the Internet, consider the source and the date of each web site carefully -- it is easy to get out-dated or inaccurate information.
Online resources within the guide marked "[SFSU]" are subscriptions provided by the library and may only be used on campus or off-campus only by faculty, staff and students at San Francisco State University.
