Government agencies are the primary source of U.S. and international statistics. Besides statistical data in print, microfiche, and CD-ROM formats in Government Publications, the library subscribes to several statistical databases (restricted to SFSU students & faculty).
The best place to start is with the Statistical Abstract of the United States, a compendium of statistics from a variety of government agencies. For more details on that topic, check the source of the statistics, which can be found at the bottom of the table.
Federal Statistics: Building Blocks for Smart Business Decisions, is a chart of various Federal statistical activities from The Census Project.
