You should also consult the research guides for specific ethnic groups and other academic areas depending on your topic.

 

NOT at SFSU Library

If the Library does not own the periodical or other publication you need, go to the Library’s homepage and select Find … Borrowing from Other Libraries. You can use Link+ for books (fastest) and you can use Illiad for all types of materials, especially articles.

There is no charge for this service.

 

Locating Books

To find books (and other materials) go to the Library homepage and under Quick Links select Library Catalog. Request items online and they will be delivered within 4 hours (on business days) to Book Check Out on the 1st floor of the Library. Book Check Out is open 8a-9p M-Th, 8a-6p Fri, and 10a-6p Sat.

NOTE: It is best to search by "keywords" rather than "subject" unless you know the specific Library of Congress subject heading.
