New Online Tutorials and Course Embedded Research Skills Replace OASIS

OASIS Tutorial No Longer Required

Beginning fall semester 2014, the Basic Information Competence Requirement will no longer be required, and thus completion of the requirement will no longer be tracked. This is due to the new undergraduate baccalaureate requirements, which have built basic information competency (research skills) into the curriculum (rather than the previous standalone requirement).

Research Skills Teaching & Learning Resources

Students: The Library has a number of new and improved resources that you can use to learn research skills.

Faculty: The Library recognizes that some faculty may wish to continue to use the OASIS tutorial in their courses. Most of the content is still available at this new link. The quiz feature has been removed from the tutorial.

The Library has a number of new and improved resources that you can use in your courses to teach and learn research skills. A detailed overview of these resources is available. In particular, for faculty wishing students to complete a comprehensive, basic overview of research skills with proof of completion, we recommend the Library Skills Tutorial.
