Availability

The SFSU Library has many historical magazines and newspapers, available one of two ways:

1. ONLINE
2. IN the Library (bound or microfilm/fiche)

Searching vs. Browsing

Online magazines and newspapers can be both searched and browsed.

Bound or microfilm/fiche magazines and newspapers are a bit more complicated.  You need an index to point you to articles on a topic, then you'll need to go to the actual newspaper or magazine to get your articles.  Sometimes there is no index to a printed newspaper or magazine; if that happens, the only option is to browse by date.
